Welcome to the blog!

I hope you find this archive helpful in building and using your food storage!  Use the tabs at the top of the page to navigate through different topics and information.

Though I always try to present information fairly and to the best of my knowledge, I certainly don't know everything and gladly welcome comments and information that will help educate and assist our ward members in the obtaining, use and storage of their food.

Feel free to comment on the pages, but submissions are also welcomed.  If you have something to contribute, please send your articles/recipes/ideas to alisamorford@gmail.com.

Read more about how I gained my testimony of the commandment of storing food on the "My Food Storage Journey" tab.

Fine print:

It will never be my intention to endorse or promote any certain store, brand or grower.  However, when the occasion requires it, I will share my personal opinion about things, which may include brands, stores and prices.  The only reason I would choose to do this is if I feel like it is in the best interest of our ward members to be informed of such things.

Lastly, I will always refer to the Church canneries for price matching and comparison. Sometimes Sam's Club, Costco and local stores will sell items for better prices than the cannery is currently offering and I will also share that information in order to meet the needs of our ward members.
